Amanda Fixsen is the VP of Programs and Implementation at Invest in Kids. Amanda has a background in applied behavior analysis, social work research, and implementation science. Over the last 10 years Amanda has worked to study how human and health services can be effectively implemented and scaled-up in real world contexts. Amanda has served as an implementation consultant with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, has worked as a post-doctoral researcher with the Oregon Research Institute where she focused on the implementation of web-based interventions for children, teachers, and clinicians, and has most recently worked at the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress serving mental health sites nationally through consultation on methods of effective clinical training and on the implementation of trauma focused evidence-based programs. In her free time, Amanda can be found enjoying the outdoors, cooking up something healthy in the kitchen, reading a good book, and spending time with her family.
